Can you have wedding alterations now ?

We are due to get married in April, my dress needs a couple of alterations. One seamstress says she cannot alter my dress the other says she had spoken to the Council and it's fine especially as they have all had their vaccinations 😬 obviously my wedding day is completely dependent on whether or not I can get my dress altered now 😬

Would you cancel your wedding rather than wear a dress that’s slightly long/big or whatever? Could you try to borrow one that would suit or see if any skilful friends/relatives could alter the dress?
If one is saying she will do it as the council have said it’s ok but the other saying she can’t (or is it that she can’t as she’s busy/booked up/shielding/childcare issues?) I think I would phone the council myself and check tbh.
I hope you have a wonderful wedding Flowers
