Wedding gift for colleague

I am organising the wedding collection for my colleague. I don’t have much experience of wedding gifts so I wondered if you could help me with some ideas. I don’t know how much money there will be yet but I’m expecting around £30-40.

I'd turn it into vouchers for a useful store, which sells all sorts of stuff.

John Lewis is my go-to for this.

Only get a 'thing' if you have a decent idea what they'd like. Or if the donors expect a 'thing' but have no ideas, get a photo frame

I'd get a voucher for somewhere general and useful. If you want to get a thing, I'd get something that's not so commonly on wedding lists but could be enjoyed by a couple, like a few months of a spice box subscription or something like that which could be a nice 'new married life date night'.
