I’ve had it over a year now as I’ve had 2 weddings postponed thanks to covid. Now I’m not sure whether this is the dress for me or not..

That’s such a beautiful dress. The floofy bits on the arms would drive me nuts (I have a thing about pointless arm material) but I’m not the one wearing it.

What is it about the dress that you’re not sure of?

Thank you both. I loved it when I bought it. I think it’s maybe the arms I’m not sure of (I’ve put over a stone on in lockdown) and wondering if I should go for something with more detail/beading. I’m not sure if it’s a bit plain. I think I’m just feeling like the whole wedding was cursed and want to start from scratch! x

It's lovely, but there's a bit too much bare shoulder and chest personally speaking.

It's beautiful! How about the arm bits made into a halter neck style if you're unsure and feel a bit self conscious? When is the wedding? You could always shred if you're feeling the need (ref the stone)

I would take the arm bits off. Those kind of sleeves make the top look droopy, as if if it's falling down.
Apart from thst it's lovely and really suits you. You look fab in it.

It's a pretty dress and you look nice but personally I think you can do much better.

It doesn't show off how beautiful you are, your figure is totally hidden and the dress makes you look very rectangular.

It's very pretty but you can do much better, sorry but it isn't a wow. It's a dress I have seen a million times and doesn't show your personality, it's just standard and you need a wow.

You have a fab figure and it’s very pretty but it looks like you aren’t comfortable in it, the way your shoulders are hunched up and arms clamped down. I think it looks too low down like it needs lifting up a couple of inches around the bust and shoulders. Would converting the straps to a halter neck and adding beading around the neckline help?

It is pretty but I agree with the pp saying you could do better. Now, that could be with the same dress (I'd have those loose bits on the arms altered for sure and maybe adding beading) or with another. It's lovely but I don't get a 'wow' from it - you look like you could certainly wow, you have a great figure!

Can you wear the arm things as actual straps? I think I’d prefer them over your shoulders as straps rather than sitting where they do in the pic.

I don't like the arm bits but you look brilliant in it. All that matters is that you like it and feel good in it- do you? Then it's the dress.

It’s really beautiful and you look fabulous.

I would also lift the sleeves up and pull the whole thing up an inch as a result.
