Children under 5...

The government have announced that children under 5 dont longer count as a person to stop isolation.

Parent and child groups can continue where they provide support to parent and/or child, and children under 5 will not be counted within the 15 person limit - meaning parents and carers can attend such groups in larger numbers.

Surely then this would mean children under 5 shouldn't be counted as a guest at a wedding of 15?

There's no logic to any of the rules surrounding weddings.
The Government have been repeatedly asked by the wedding industry where their numbers (6, 15, 30) have come from and what science they've used to arrive at those numbers. It's been repeatedly ignored.

Did the 15 guests before include the bride and groom or was it B & G PLUS 15 guests?
Trying to re arrange ours for March & confused with numbers x

OP, I’ve literally just asked the same question as part of my topic. How can they not count towards playgroup numbers and Christmas bubbles etc. but count towards the wedding numbers!!

@PoppyHen Bride, groom, celebrant, suppliers like photographer, children- all count towards 15. By the time you are done including them and your immediate family, you aren’t left with much to work with.
That’s if by March wedding receptions are still allowed. Sorry to be pessimistic, but things change month-to-month.
