Notice appointment?

Registry office booked for mid January and the appointment to give notice is in November... I know weddings are not happening during the lockdown but not sure about the notice appointment....

I think they would be cancelled :(

Give them a call on Monday to clarify. Any chance you can give notices early next week, or was the original date the earliest they could slot you in?

I'm wondering this as well, as I'm also giving notice in November to get married in January. It doesn't say anything on the council's website.

It says in the guidance that register offices will remain open.

Last time during lockdown I was unable to give notice for my august wedding. Even once restrictions were lifted they couldn't get me in in time. Ended up having a church ceremony x

@fudgecat I've got good news.. I just contacted my local council (south glos) and they are still holding appointments during lockdown. I would imagine it's the same rules for all councils.

Just had confirmation that it's going ahead as planned, phew! Just need to keep fingers crossed for January now
