Feb 2021 wedding?

Planning a small wedding and we are thinking feb 2021, we want to get married and get on with starting family ect as I’m 34. Do you think this will be unrealistic for 30 people?

I don't know if it's realistic but if I was 34 and wanted to be married before ttc it wouldn't matter to me. I'd just want to get married even if that meant cutting down on guests. Everyone is different though & that's just how I'd feel.

I'm getting married next year and there will be 20 of us.

We haven’t booked anywhere yet as everything is up in the air and venues are still free. I’m hoping by feb we can have 30 people and if so would be happy to get married and start our lives together

What if you could only have 15, would that impact you?

I ask as we are in the process of rearranging again because the venue believe that the current restrictions could be in place until March

It’s hard to predict but I guess going with the current vibe I think you might be right. I would be consider going ahead with 15 aswell. At my age I want to get on with life although having a nice wedding with more of our close family would have been lovely. Though putting things into perspective I’m lucky to be marrying my fella when I recall once feeling I’d never meet anyone or marry. So that’s most important

I think March is a safer option though if you were happy for 30 and maybe 50. It’s also start of spring so weather will be nice. Hope you have a lovely wedding regardless

A lot of venues have assumed 15 til end March off the back of the announcement last week that said the new measures could be “for the next six months”. We’re hoping for 30 in summer - it would be doable/worth it for us, 15 wouldn’t. If 15 was going to be a big problem I wouldn’t go for February - maybe April? It’s so hard to know.

Thanks @Smile23, we have decided to go ahead and have the ceremony in January as planned (but with only a handful of guests) and will celebrate with everyone later when we can

We are both early 40's (first marriage for both) so I completely understand what you mean about the want to just be married. It's the exact same reason that we are going ahead regardless (we couldn't on our original date as weddings weren't taking place at all)
