I am very excited today as my sister's boyfriend has just phoned to say he would like to ask her to marry him.
Amy sister and I are very close. We lost both our parents when she was very young. There is quite a big age gap and sometimes I am definitely a mum figure for her. I love her and would try and help her in the same way I would for my own children.
I know that after the proposal they are going for a meal and then staying in a hotel for the night.
If she says yes (I am 99% sure she will) I would like to do something for them. I wondered about getting a bottle of champagne delivered to the hotel room for them to share.
Does anyone else have any other ideas?
