Blessing (C of E)

Hi

So today I finally confirmed a church date for our 'wedding' in 2022. I say 'wedding' as due to my partner being divorced our local priest will not marry us. I've made my peace with that as this is the church I want our ceremony to take place in. So, we will do the legal bit with two witnesses beforehand and then have a blessing on our wedding day.

The priest was very adamant that he can and it look as weddingy as possible. We will not require bans to be read and we can take our wedding certificate to pose for photos as if signing the register etc.

Does anyone have any experience of doing things this way? Were there any aspects that made it obvious that it was a blessing and not a wedding?
