Do you think my wedding could be cancelled?

I know no one has the answer at this point but I guess I'm just looking for a bit of positivity. Wedding finally re-scheduled for 1st September....I can't help but stress about a lockdown happening all over again and our wedding will be cancelled again. We don't have any guests or reception planned, it is just the two of us + 2 witnesses. That's all

I can’t give you an answer but I feel your pain. I got married on Monday after months of uncertainty. It was all quite normal considering. It’s such a stressful time though, I totally get it. . Good luck and iv got everything crossed you get your day.

I think you will be fine and can’t see a full lockdown happening then, especially as it’s just before schools are due to go back. A local lockdown is more likely, so my level of worry would be based on where you are and how Covid is in your area.

When I saw the title I thought oh no! But given it is only you and witnesses it seems less likely. Always potential for a local lockdown I guess but hopefully you may be able to change the date if that happened. I understand the worry though. I get married next week with immediate family only after having to cancel our original plans in April. I hope yours goes ahead

Thanks all! I will keep everything crossed for us too Grin

I feel your pain. I was supposed to get married in NYC in early October (no chance of that happening) so we rearranged for the UK on the same date. It’s just the 2 of us but I am worried about whether we will actually manage to get married. Nothing that we can do other than keep our fingers crossed (and avoid media as its all so negative)

You guys and two witnesses, no problem I'd imagine. Have fun. 🙂

Same here, hopefully getting married end of September. Fingers crossed.

OP I think with it just being the two of you you will be absolutely fine! Try not to worry. Easier said than done though, I know.
