Are you still planning and booking for your winter wedding this year?

I have a friend who is getting married in November. She's going ahead with all the planning and has just sent out the invites but I'm concerned that she's being really naive in thinking it's going to go ahead. She won't have that social distancing will still be a thing by then and seems to think she can still have a "normal" wedding and hasn't made any plans to postpone. I'm worried for her!

Do you think it will go ahead as normal? Are you still planning yours to go ahead around this time?

We've just moved ours from the end of October this year to the same weekend next year. I also know of two couples around the same time who haven't moved yet and seem to be still holding out. We just felt that it wouldn't be possible to have the day we wanted this year, and luckily every supplier has been able to move forward, it was surprisingly easy. Feel a lot less stressed about it now.
It is a difficult decision to make, I hope everything works out for her with the wedding she planned whether it is this year or not.

My April wedding was postponed to end of November, wasn’t given a choice on postponement dates. Praying it can all go ahead

I have lots of couples still in the diary for September- December.
Many of whom had their weddings cancelled this spring/summer.

I'm really hoping things go ahead for them all, but i'm struggling to see it for weddings of more than around 60 guests. Especially indoor winter weddings and knowing how tight many ceremony and wedding breakfast rooms are Sad

We want to get married this year, just a registry office - but we still cannot book or arrange an appointment to give notice.

Now that weddings are "allowed" I don't see why I can't book!

We have a family wedding in one month, in Scotland...similar ceremony numbers to England. Just been informed there will be a reception of 50 people 🤔 I would quite like to know how this is happening? It’s apparently going ahead come hell or high water. As a guest I am immensely stressed about it all but the couple have their heads in the sand!

I'm a spring wedding that got changed to end of October. I'm umming and ahing about what to do because no idea if it will be just as bad next year. Also we will lose a lot of deposits and will kick ourselves if we could have had it after all in October.

We have a zoom meeting with the venue soon and we're are going to discuss a back up date and then make a decision after NS's update on 20/8.
