Is it possible to get married / civil partnership ASAP?

I've been with my partner for many years, but we haven't got around to getting married yet. We have two small kids together and with everything going on, I'm concerned that if I die, he will get a huge tax bill since we're not married (I have a few assets and a business)

So, I'd like to get married ASAP. Does anyone know if this is possible?

No it isn't possible to get married during the lockdown. Have a look at the pages of your local council/ register office for more information.

I looked at Surrey Council's webpages and they are saying the 1st June, but obviously this may change. Sorry can't do a clickable link:

No. You have to give at least 28 days notice if your intention to marry or form a civil partnership. At the moment the GRO has stopped all notice appointments. You can't get married if you can't give notice.

There is such a thing as a deathbed wedding - where registrar goes in to the hospital. I don't know if that is permitted, given that Covid wards are 'no visitor'

The guidance I've seen suggests that all forms of wedding are off, until at least June
