Unusual favours

Hi,

I know there were several threads discussing favours but I wonder if anyone has any fresh ideas. I am trying to think of ways to make the wedding memorable for its fun and unusual details. Changing the traditional reception table layouts, playing about with ceremony seating etc. So I would like the favours to be something quirky too, if possible, ones that our guests will actually want to take.

We don’t have a theme as such, just a specific colour scheme.

Chocolates, drink bottles, mini plants, mints- all so commonly done, it sounds boring to me. And some of it too random, like tea bags??

I don’t like a charity donations idea either- I actually want guests to have a physical thank you gift.

Any ideas?

God almighty, nobody wants to be presented with a miniature pot of jam or a gingerbread man at a wedding Confused
Anyone imagining this would make their wedding “memorable” is completely deluded.
Ditto anything with your names and wedding date printed on. This is not relevant to anyone but you.

We had round tables but didn't have a 'top' table - we just put two members from those on the traditional top table on each round table.

We sat at a round table with our friends instead of getting into the politics of who's important enough for the top table. Often tricky with different sets of parents & step parents.

Yeah, we aren’t having a top table either, I resent the idea of picking those important enough to sit wit us, you are on display and you are sat chatting only to your groom and parent who you see all the time rather than catching up with friends.

I think bee seed bombs are certainly more unique and useful than lip balm or similar stuff.

Dad makes his own extremely lush but strong caramel/vanilla shots. We had personalised shot glasses made and kept them in boxes under the seat of one person (prebriefed) in each table. Dad incorporated into his speech and the glasses and shots were pulled out
