Wedding dress dilemma

I bought a wedding dress yesterday but now I'm wondering if its too much.

It's my second wedding and there are only going to be 23 of us for a relaxed weekend in a barn with an outdoor humanist ceremony.

The dress I bought is like this www.wed2b.co.uk/abilene
but I'm now thinking it might just be too formal.

I have bought this one to change into in the evening - uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_1.2/7451100206
and now I'm wondering whether I should just wear it all day instead?

I have also bought this one as an alternative dress to wear during the day and then change into my evening dress.

My OH doesn't want me to wear a big wedding dress so I thought a shorter wedding dress would be perfect but now I'm thinking maybe the two long dresses would be better for the more relaxed vibe I'm after.

The wedding is in August and the ceremony is outdoors

I'm a size 20 and losing weight/toning up so I feel confident about wearing the longer slimmer dresses.

I just don't know what to do - I'd welcome any advice please. I've got 14 days to take the original dress back.

I love the first one and think it would be perfect for the wedding you've described..... even if it wasn't it's your day and you can wear whatever dress you like! I wouldn't even get changed the other dresses aren't as nice as the first dress and you only get the wear it once!

I love the monsoon one! Soooo much! Wish my dp would hurry up and propose... lol

OrangeLindt · 18/01/2020 13:04

Oh I love the first 2 dresses, so pretty!

Angbunnyboo · 18/01/2020 16:58

Thank you all so much for your advice.

The monsoon one arrived today and I tried it and loved it. It felt like my dress, and it was so much more comfortable than the short wedding dress - I felt a bit like a doll in that one.

So my wedding dress is now bought and I am so excited!

Thank you all again so much, it really helped to get outside opinions.

Brilliant. Glad you’ve chosen for what you liked. Have a wonderful wedding.

I'm totally not going to monsoon this week now...

I much prefer dress 1

Personally I don't understand brides who change after just a few hours in their wedding dress Confused I think it misses the point of being a bride.

I would just wear your wedding dress all day.
The monsoon dress is ok but would seem odd to wear a t length and then a full length as your evening dress.

The phase eight ones are hideous. Sorry.

I love the original tea length dress. I think that's perfect for a barn humanist wedding. I also like the blue long dress but really don't like the Phase eight one, it looks frumpy.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/01/2020 14:56

The first one is gorgeous.

BrightonBB · 23/01/2020 15:11

Monsoon dress is gorgeous so pleased you picked it.

bravotango · 24/01/2020 12:53

Monsoon one is stunning - wear that all day!

bravotango · 24/01/2020 12:53

Oops didn't see the update - congratulations, you will look beautiful! Enjoy the day!

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 25/01/2020 22:15

The Phase 8 one us a bit formal and a bit party dress I think.

I like the first one but not as a size 20. It’s a good shape if you are a bit curvy but not flattering otherwise. Emphasises big hips and wobbly legs and arms.
The Monsoon one is a beautiful in its own right. I know what people mean that it’s like a bridesmaids dress but it’s a small low key wedding. You can reflect the grey and silver stars in your decorations to make you look like the defining point. Your bridesmaids / ushers can wear simple grey numbers.

Why?
