Anyone fancy helping out an exasperated bride-to-be?

Nothing major, but I'd love some help from some of you that may not be as fed up as me!

I'm making 3 bridesmaids boxes to 'propose' to them i.e ask them to be my bridesmaid.

I have envisioned white or pale pink or grey boxes (just nothing too bright or too patterned), possibly with a ribbon to seal with a bow or with a magnetic close. They are to be filled with a photo book I've made them, personalised mug, candle and another small item so needs to be about A4 size.

I've searched everywhere and they're all so expensive! For a BOX! My budget is no more than £5 each. Please send me any ideas of websites to try/direct links. I'm exhausted and would love your help.

Pretty sure you made up that exasperated there @FramingDevice. Also that you wilfully ignored most of my post, in your determination to be a miserable git.

@FramingDevice oh the shame I've just seen the title! I take it all back in my embarrassment Blush

Wilkos - saw some recently for £4ish

@MyKingdomForBrie, make me a little pink beribboned box with a personalised apology mug and photobook, and we’ll say no more. Grin

@framingdevice Grin

I'll even include a heartfelt poem.

Total waste of time and money and unrecyclable resources doing this.

So £5 for a box, plus the cost of the contents.How much is costing you to just to ask your friends to be bridesmaids?
I'd get some plain white cakes boxes and put ribbons on them. Hobbycraft do giant rolls of ribbon for very reasonable prices.
Apply the brakes a bit now and it will be easier to budget as you go along.

Could you find inexpensive scarves or something like that (perhaps in your colours, which they can wear to the wedding as well as elsewhere, so a separate gift) to wrap/tie things together? I've seen some youtube videos on really cute ways to use a scarf as wrapping.

This one from Hobbycraft is within your budget, though you'd need to decorate it yourself somehow:
