Venue decor hire costs

Hi,

How much is it reasonable to expect to pay for an arch with flowers and simple flowers in vases with a few tealights as 3-4 centrepieces? I know that chair covers and sashes are all roughly the same everywhere, but quite a few companies aren't responding with their pricelists.

Has anyone hired decor and also made DIY centrepieces to save money? I want to ask my event stylist to put out some of my own decorations but not sure if that's cheeky.

An arch of flowers is going to depend on what type flowers you want at what time of year, do you want loose and rustic, or tight with flowers again very different in price. Centre pieces again type of flowers, how many flowers and time of year, do you want candles. So many variables. Do you want foam bases, or would you prefer foam free. If you want foam free it depends to be more expensive partly to get a good look you need a more experience florist who is likely to be more expensive.
This give you why there is no set price list for things.

The flower wall tends to cost £100 to hire around here. So I imagine an artificial arch to be £100- £200.

Our chair cover and sash lady did everything else too and was SOoo helpful. Was prepared to come back halfway through our ceremony to help dress the tables (we hired table cloths and runners from her) she would have put out our own centre pieces but we decided we could manage the tables ourselves. (Our ceremony and reception were in the same space so required moving furniture etc but because of this we kept the tables very simple). Talk to a few people. You will know when you find the right person to help you.

We are doing DIY decorations to save money, our centre pieces are going to be a large log slice, 4 or 5 glasses with a candles in each with some leaves/foliage surrounding. we are borrowing the log slices so should literally be a few pounds per table
