Small wedding - bridesmaids and groomsmen

So newly engaged Grin and I know all I want is a small wedding, really just close family only. So maybe a max of 20 people?

It's not weird in that situation to not bother having bridesmaids or groomsmen is it? I don't really want to bother as it will just be family, I have no siblings to ask. My partner does but then I think if he had groomsmen and I had no bridesmaids that would look really odd.

What did you do for a small wedding? Smile

For such a small wedding, there is no reason whatsoever to have a bridesmaids/groomsmen. Keep it simple. You will be very glad you did.

@Aquamarine1029 that's my thinking too. Smile I don't want a big wedding, I would be way too self conscious and probably irritable by the end of the day and we also can't afford one. A nice simple wedding with our close family who we see lots is all I want. Thanks Smile

DH had a best man and my dad walked me in, but that was it. I did have two girlfriends come over to mine to get ready beforehand, though, which was lovely!

We're having 23 people at our wedding celebration, 2 of whom (my stepson to be and my sister) are our witnesses or in conventional terms bridesmaid and best man. They are not wearing special clothes or anything, they are just signing the register.

We had a small wedding, 13 guests, family only. No best man or bridesmaids but had grandparents sign the register. My granny was 98 at the time and told everyone she was my bridesmaid!
