Getting married In Aviemore at Loch Morlich

Hi all,

This may not be the right place to post this but I thought it was worth a (long) shot.

I am tentatively looking into wedding venues and would love to get married on the shores of Loch Morlich near Aviemore.

I cannot figure out who I need to contact to begin to arrange this. Has anyone ever looked into this/been part of organising a wedding here?

You could try Aviemore registry office or humanist society as you can get married anywhere in Scotland.
You could also search for hotels - I'm not sure if there are any lochside.

Try contacting the Highland Council if the registry office can't help.

Loch Morlich is beautiful but it is a very busy and popular area in the summer months. Getting parked near it can be an issue.

That is a good idea about the council and registry office.

I have a venue in mind for the party bit, it’s just the ceremony I have no clue about organising.

Call me crazy but actually thinking about a winter wedding (this rest of the day will be inside).

You should look at Claire the Humanist on Facebook or Instagram for inspiration. She always posts pics of fabulous weddings in amazing remote locations in Scotland.
