Dress change necessary?

Bought this dress but now my original (Scottish Castle) venue has gone bust. We're looking at rebooking with a new venue (rustic DIY barn) because it's all we can get available on our original date. Already ordered my dress, but now worried it'll look out of place on what is essentially a farm 😂 do I need to reconsider?

Please keep the dress! It's absolutely gorgeous and will look fabulous in any venue!

It's beautiful. Don't think it will look out of place at all.

Dress looks great on you.

But your hair colour... amazing. Love it.

blahblahblahblahhh · 20/10/2019 20:23

Keep the dress doesn't matter what the venue. You look great and it's about you and DH not really the venue.

GetTheSprinkles · 20/10/2019 20:30

You can't NOT wear a dress that looks that fantastic! Congratulations!

nespressowoo · 20/10/2019 20:37

Flipping heck - you look bloody amazing! Hourglass shape - wish I had your shape. That dress was made for you!

Normandy144 · 20/10/2019 20:38

Why the heck would you change your dress because it is a barn and not a castle? The dress is gorgeous on you, keep it! If you change it you will only pine for the original.

dresseddistress · 20/10/2019 20:47

Thanks everyone! It's been taking every ounce of self control I have not to show everyone and anyone, my DP included, these pics! So it's nice to have some opinions!

@nespressowoo thank you, that's so lovely! I've lost just over 3st this year and comments like yours really make all those missed takeaways worth it!

@Normandy144 I just thought that the rustic barn type venue would call for a more laid back/casual look. I definitely considered the original venue and what kind of dress would suit the venue in pictures etc when I picked this dress. But I think everyone's right - I'd always miss this dress now!

It’s absolutely beautiful and won’t look out of place at all. You look stunning OP.

wallacepalace1 · 09/01/2020 20:37

I would not want to change the dress. It's just a great thing that looks great on you.

TitianaTitsling · 09/01/2020 20:44

Did you keep the dress?

dresseddistress · 24/01/2020 18:23

Hello!

I did yes, it all ended up being a panic for nothing.

We ended up not going with the barn type venue - we were tempted because it was all we could get on our original date, but it really wasn't what we wanted. So we changed the date and found an amazing new venue which we absolutely couldn't have afforded ourselves, but the wedding insurance are covering the difference in price!

So my dress fits in fine and it's a venue that I couldn't even have dreamed of! Our original venue going bust was quite literally the best thing that could have happened 😂 thank goodness for wedding insurance too!!
