Hi all
Can anyone recommend a wedding venue abroad that doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a small wedding please :) possibly during Uk winter months where the location will be guarenteed warm:)

Not sure of costs post-Brexit so I would suggest to wait a bit and see. There are thousands of threads on dedicated wedding forums discussing venues abroad, you will get more replies there.

You will need to be more specific on those boards about what you mean by small (to some people, 70 is small whereas to me it isn't), your budget (£3k vs £20k), what type of venue you are looking for (hundreds of choices in each country), how far you are willing to travel (Europe, America, Dominican Republic etc.- eg. Some Carribean hotels offer free weddings with your stay), whether you want a ceremony that's recognised as legal back in the UK or just a blessing.

Some of these things will no doubt narrow down your search and then you could price things up within those countries.

Oh numbers would be like 16 max 7 min , like really small lol. It won't be for a while we need to save but don't actually have money to save 🙈 just wanted some nice venue ideas maybe in nice locations that people can recommend :)

Again, nice means different things to different people. Eg. I could never get married in Thailand, no matter how pretty because of the humidity. Santorini is favoured by a lot of couples but there would be zero to do for my liking.

Maybe worth saving up a target sum first, especially if it takes you a while, and then thinking of distance you want to travel, legal vs blessing and other questions I suggested in my first post.

People can suggest a lot of places that they find nice, but what's the point if you haven't got savings together yet. Venues might go out of business by the time you are ready to book, prices might go up significantly, legal requirements for UK citizens getting married in some countries might change, or you might find yourself pregnant and needing to consider the logistics of long-haul flights etc.
