Ring thickness

Currently designing my engagement ring and one of the designs is 8mm thick but I wonder if it's too much. Wedding band would obviously be much thinner. Google is not helpful. Does anyone have a 8mm band they are willing to share a picture of?

Holy moly. That's some size band. Mine is 2mm, my mums is 4mm I think. She loves hers. I love mine. Would be interested to see an 8mm tho.

would an 8mm plus a wedding band fit on the bottom part of your finger? I dont think it would on mine, you need it to feel comfortable as you'll be wearing it every day forever

I would say too thick. I have 3 thin rings and they are uncomfortable to wear together so I imagine one thick one thin would be uncomfortable.

My engagement ring is 2mm and my wedding band is 3mm any thicker and I think it would pinch...

My engagement band is 2.5 and wedding band 3mm and I don't have room for an eternity ring! (Do have small hands tbf) How will you fit two on there if one is 8mm? I guess if you really love it, you could move it to other hand when married, and then you could have a chunky wedding ring too?

8mm is HUGE op...

When you choose a wedding ring, just go to the jewelry store and ask him to put a ring of the same width and shape on your finger. Then come a couple more times in the sutra and in the evening - because the hands of many people swell in the evening. Also keep in mind the fact that you want to wear a wedding ring, periodically combining it with other rings on this finger.

Would be interested to see an 8mm tho.
Just look on the finger of anyone who got married in the 1970s!
