Alternative to the big dress

I am a late 30's second time bride with the venue all booked up for early next year .

I have been to try on a few dresses and the only ones that suit my shape ( 5,7 - thick middle , wide shoulders , long legs size 16) are the big ass ball gown that clinch my waist in , whilst they look fab it was a whole lot of material to kick about all day for what is going to be a lovely but informal , let's dance and drink type of reception .

I can't stand itchy lace and not a fan of tulle .

Ideally would like the budget under £300 .

I would like to stick to white or ivory but I'm quite fond of the unusual .. I've been looking at jumpsuits but can't find one quite bridal enough .

Any ideas Grin

What about a drop waist dress - you don't say if you want full length or not

  • as you are tall with long legs you could carry that off beautifully . If the wedding is afternoon maybe a cocktail style dress? It's worth looking at FB Marketplace as it is full of all types of wedding dress some new too .
