Best friend's hen do... for two... with a newborn?!

Hi all,

Hope somebody can help with this.
My best friend since the age of eight is getting married at the beginning of August in Las Vegas. I've just had a baby the end of May and have decided we won't be travelling for the wedding as much as I'd love to be there.

She's asked if we could do a "hen do" just the two of us before she goes. She lives in North London and I'm in Hampshire so Hampshire or London would be fine.

Anyone have any great ideas for activities day or evening or even overnight. I can express I can be away from my son for a short while but have not left him yet. My husband could potentially tag along out of sight depending on the activity and duration?

Anyone have any ideas? I'm really struggling

Spa day and a meal out?

Or jewellery making day course?

Eek! I would be tempted to be at home, her out old photo albums, films from when you were growing up, wine, favourite pick n mix and just have an evening together. Let your DH deal with as much baby stuff as possible and then even if you’re feeding you don’t have to stop chatting!

I’d arrange a spa day or something lovely after the wedding when you can give her more of your time. I can highly recommend Chewton Glen in the new forest.

Oh what a lovely friend she is! So much to choose from! I would consider a spa day at Lime wood in the New Forest.

What’s your budget and are you trying to avoid alcohol if you are breastfeeding?

A lovely day would be to go the Summer Exhibition at the RA, have lunch there and then have tea at Fortnum & Mason’s. Then go to the cocktail bar at the Ritz.
