Hi,

My partner and I are getting married at Gretna Green, Scotland in September.

I understand from the Scottish registrar information that we need to file of our marriage notice to the local registrar in Gretna.

I was under the impression we had to file our marriage notice at the office local to where we live.

Is anyone able to advise?

I'd give the registry office a call in gretna

Contact the Gretna Registrars and they will send you the M10 forms or you can download them here. When you have completed the M10 forms return them to Gretna Registrars along with your birth certificates and any other relevant documents such as divorce papers and fees. On your wedding day, all you need is your marriage schedule, which will have been prepared by the Gretna Registrars.
