best wedding favours...

What are the best wedding favours you have had? We have a small wedding planned - 30 adults, 15 kids. I am really not sure if we need any? I was thinking of putting small cheap games on the table like plastic jenga and connect 4? Help!

IMO the best wedding favours are no favours at all. They just aren't needed, most people leave them behind. The only exception would be a donation to a charity that has a personal connection to yourselves.

If you're doing favours then something edible. Nobody wants a photo of the couple/beer holder/keyring/soap/coaster.

Last wedding I was at had wee pieces of tablet in cute boxes.
I took it home and gave it to Dd as I've no sweet tooth, anything I was supposed to keep would just be clutter.

Edible is good.
Best non-edible we’ve had is table names which were caricatures of us. It’s was brilliant and I was annoyed not to think of it for our upcoming wedding

Please don’t do random plastic. Consumable is always good. We didn’t have any because we were on such a tight budget but my favourite was a paper bag of sweeties.

Definitely edible /drinkable. Dniece had little miniature bottles of homemade sloe gin...but it was a largely adult wedding and did get quite messy! Other dniece did little boxes of homemade biscuits which were lovely (and got eaten)

We gave sweets. Two ounces of various types which cost us about £60 all in. There were a few left which we took home and ate ourselves. My friend is making fudge for hers. We’ve had several alcoholic favours from weddings and they’re always things we don’t drink.

Wedding in Italy -- small bottle of gorgeous olive oil produced by the estate where the wedding was held. Any (very few) bottles left behind were swiftly appropriated by other guests,

We had Lego minifigs with the idea that we could keep any leftover ones. But they all went.

I have ordered sweets and thought about doing fudge/biscuits but thought food might spoil the dinner? I love the idea of lego mini figures - they are quite expensive though aren't they? I will provide activity packs for the children I think...I also thought about those names cut out of wood....a bit pointless maybe??

something consumable that requires no effort for the recipient. Hate seeing ones that you just know are destined for landfill. Sweets or chocolates are good, and somehow people find room for them even after 3 courses

I think anything inedible is a bit baffling nowadays, they're a bit 2000s aren't they. Just biscuits / chocolate / sweets - not enough to affect appetite.

Such a waste of money imo. Also, adults don't need entertaining at the table, particularly not single use plastic crap.

If you feel the need to leave something (really, don't!), then a charity donation or something small for the kids only.

None, seriously they are a cost and nobody wants them. Sweets if anything but don't bother with personalised, you can buy little bags on eBay very cheaply

We got married in December and gave handmade Christmas ornaments. They did not have anything specific to us like a photo or monogram, just a classic ornament that would blend in on all but the most curated trees.

I had a basket of paper fans for ladies to take as favours. Very popular too in a scorcher of a day. Not in the tables though. Kids got activity packs at their settings and loads of table games provided in the evening

Our adults are getting biscuits/chocolates whilst the children (under 12’s) are also getting a gift bag with a more personal gift.

The under 8’s have got a branded (LOL/ Disney - whatever they’re most into) activity pack with pens and stickers..etc to complete during the speeches!

Is a waste of money - something invented by the wedding industry to make them more money.
No guest wants them, or misses them if they aren't there.
