I'm getting married a week today!
Feels like I've been planning it forever and now it's actually coming around,
Just wondered if anyone had any advice for the big day or things they wish they had done but didn't?

Don’t plan to do too much the day before eg I planned a family meal and then wished I hadn’t.

Enjoy it!

I know that's easier said than done, but don't worry about he details so much that you miss the (amazing) big picture.

Best tip I got was to take 10 mins out, just DH and I and go outside to pause and enjoy the moment. We had the best man set a reminder on his phone for about 20 mins into the dancing to come and tell us and nipped outside. I'm so glad we did, the day went so fast it was a fab time to reflect and we could even look through the marquee windows at everyone enjoying themselves. Have a great day!

Another thought on a far more boring note... if you're hiring any suits from Moss Bros, take them out the carriers, check them over and ideally have them tried on. Twice they've stuffed up orders for us which has resulted in some frantic back and forth but fortunately in both cases all resolved the day before the weddings concerned

Dance, drink and have enormous fun!

Eat lots and Talk to everyone.

Honestly, just RELAX. The planning is done and what will be will be. Somethings may go off plan, but none of it will matter. Just remember what the day is really about and have fun. Oh, and do NOT drink too much alcohol the night before or day of.

Don't let any little hiccups or hitches spoil your day. No one will know or care if the napkins are cream when they were meant to be ivory so don't stress about any little things that aren't exactly as they should be. It's one day, of course you want it to be perfect but it's the start of your marriage and that is the really wonderful thing so enjoy it and don't let all the small stuff get in the way of that.

Just enjoy every moment as it will be over in a flash!

Take some time just you and hubbie to sit and chat and take it all in together.

Relax and enjoy the day and the rest of your lives together
