Overwhelmed!!!

Planning on Maldives and Sri Lanka

I am struggling to decide too! June wedding so having to avoid rainy season in a lot of places

We are doing honeymoon later in the year (April wedding) for better seasons

We went to Lisbon for a week and spent a day in Sinatra too (magical fairytale castles, I want to go back so badly).

But I hate holidays where you sit and do nothing all day. Much prefer to walk around a city, visit loads of museums, see castles and other landmarks and generally eat, drink and be merry! I know some people hate this and prefer to sit on a beach for a week. Each to their own!

Crete. We were going for Mexico but there’s still a Zika virus risk there and we want to TTC straight away

Tromso in Norway. Going in October so hoping to see the Northern Lights fingers crossed

For anyone thinking of conceiving in the next year or so, I would still urge avoiding Zika risk countries as Buffalo mentioned.

I have two children already and won’t be ttc no3 for at least 12months post honeymoon 🤪

We went to the Maldives, 9 months after our wedding

Roma and then the Amalfi coast. Our criteria were: short haul (because we wanted to go straight after the wedding and not spend our first married day on a long flight), warm enough for some beach/pool time (September), lots to do/see but equally lots of opportunity to relax, and the chance for some really luxurious hotels/restaurants/spas/experiences. We're taking the pressure off by not looking at it as a once in a lifetime thing but an amazing chance to spend time together in that post-wedding bliss.

Canada!

Hoping to go to Florida about 10 months after our wedding. Need to wait due to finances and work / studying commitments

South of France. Wonderful in September and October. Warm, hardly any chance of rain, no autumn gloom. Cheap flight, lovely food, very romantic little villages overlooking the Med.
Because it’s close we can do all the anniversaries there too!

We did La Reunion and Mauritius, beautiful!

Vegas!

We self drove 2000km around Namibia - incredible!

Was planning on Sri Lanka but after recent events we aren't going. Have been looking at doing Bali and a nearby island instead. I've got a brother over there so would be good to see him too. Can't bloody wait!

Thinking of Thailand! But future husband is happy flying premium economy and I only fly longhaul in business! Argh!

Spent one week in South of France and one week in Greece.

We’ve done a lot of long haul destinations - if we hadn’t done it already, we would have done South Africa & Zanzibar/Mauritius.

French Canada in December it will be cold and lots of wrapping up. Both of us prefer that to beaches.

Hoping to go to Alaska!
