Wedding on a budget

I am getting married in june. It is in no way traditional. Dp thinks i am taking on too much, i am making the cakes myself aswell as cupcakes and vegan cupcakes for a guest that is vegan.
I can do it all for a fraction of the cost.
We have spent less than 1,500 on the whole thing.

Well done, good for you. I never understand 'can't afford to get married'. We chose to get married on holiday, just the two of us. It was in the US and cost $40. Too much thought and money spent on wedding and too little on the actual marriage.
