Can I have your wedding night London hotel recommendations please?

We are getting married in Spring 2020 at Chelsea Town hall.
We have a really tight budget but we're looking for ideas for a nice hotel we can stay at the night of our wedding, and probably the night before for DP.

We will be having a party at a pub up the road afterwards, so nothing too far away but I am acutely aware that Chelsea/Fulham is not the cheapest end of London!

You might get more for your money on Airbnb and get a nice apartment. There's lots of nice hotels around Gloucester Road.

Try asking on trip advisor in the London forum. Give them your per night budget and month of staying. They are really helpful.
