Picky eaters and wedding!

So I need some perspective before I tackle this...
We have given our guests 3 choices for meals. We had to have a battle with the venue over this as they wanted to give us 1 choice as they recently changed the packages since we booked. So we got our 3 choices which is great!
So we've got most the invites back however 1 guest has emailed me and asked if they can have a made up starter not on the list as they don't like anything on offer.
I'm a bit annoyed as I wouldn't dream of doing this, I would suck it up and try something new for 1 day. The person has no allergies. I don't want to ask the venue as I feel like we've already had a battle to have 3 choices! There's a meat fish and veggie so I don't see why they can't choose something and at least try it!
They are a close family member so it makes it more tricky!
Have no idea what to reply!

What @PicklePumpkinPie said.

That is so bizzare.
One of my dc is quite a fussy eater. She, however has far better manners to demand foods she likes in any circumstance other than when she is cooking or when she pays to go to a restaurant. What an incredibly rude person you know Shock
I mean, I don't honestly expect to be given a choice at a wedding, so the fact you've given not only one option, but two, is unusual in itself. If you don't like either, then you just subtly hand it to someone else on the table to polish off for you and have a bread roll for your starter, or go without.
Some people are so entitled!

I'd be tempted to tell her to just leave what she doesn't like (like I do with small children).

GemmeFatale · 14/02/2019 23:47

Tell him there will be bread and he can bring his own dairylea triangle to spread on it.

MorningsEleven · 14/02/2019 23:56

What are the 3 starters that aren't as good as cheesy garlic bread?

AdoraBell · 14/02/2019 23:57

Definitely tell them the venue refuse to do more than the 3 options, or do what Gemma suggests 😁

MumUnderTheMoon · 15/02/2019 00:16

Just say no because there isn't another option. You don't have to justify yourself.
Them: "I don't like any of the starters, can I have something else?"
You:"no"

Cheesy garlic bread? You didn’t tell us they were 9. Do hope you have ice cream for pudding 😬

lljkk · 15/02/2019 10:00

May I enquire, OP, what ARE the starters available?
