Need advice

I am attending a wedding in Germany,and need advice pls
Lovelies. First and foremost advice on dresses,where I live we'd tend to dress to the nines but I'm thinking that full one sparkly evening gown and high heels may be too much. I'm leaning toward little black dress? Also they have asked for money in place of a gift-so how much should I put in the card? Thanking you all for helping a clueless girl out!

Personally I wouldn't wear black to a wedding but I think that's an english thing...
Can you not just ask the bride/groom?

I tend to go with pastels or floral for a wedding, avoid black and definitely white. Generally for the gift, it depends, if I wasn’t in the bridal party, I gift around what it would have cost for my meal (which can easily be £50+)

I'd ask what's normal in Germany for weddings, I'm not sure what's standard there and it may vary from region to region, as some areas are more conservative than others. I think £50+ is fine for money presents

I don't s anything wrong with a lbd and 50 as a gift is fair x
