marriage in Canada legal in UK

If we eloped to Canada would the marriage be legal in the UK? Anyone done this before and has any advice/info. Thanks!

If you have a marriage certificate then yes it should be recognised

Each province is slightly different.

Yes, just make sure you don't elope to a province that requires you to have something tedious like proof of STD testing or residence or whatever.
