Is there such a thing?
I get married in 7 weeks and still don't have a dress! I had a budget and the money set aside however things in life come up such as broken car so mechanic fees
Washer blew up, can't do without a washer
Etc etc
So the money has dwindled ALOT. I was thinking about waiting until the January sales now but not even sure if things such as wedding dresses go on sale? Any clue?

Have a look at monsoon and phase eight. They do lovely wedding dresses and the often go on sale this time of year. Wedding dress shops also have their samples sales early jan and they are often reduced to half price. It's a good time to look. Hope you find one.

Try resale sites such as Still a White etc, loads of new or good condition expensive dresses much cheaper

MissMoodyMoo · 22/12/2018 20:25

I got a sample sale dress saved over £800!!

Fantababy · 22/12/2018 20:27

Google sample sales in your area. I got my dream dress in a sample sale just over half price. Could have taken it away that day if I'd wanted.

I just bought a beautiful Jenny Packham sample dress from eBay for £450. I think many bridal shops do trunk shows at various times of year and sample sales. If you look at high street shops you may have more luck although I noticed Phase Eight didn't offer any discount on Black Friday.

eBay. Looking at wedding dresses is a bit of a hobby for me. Don't know why. I have no plans to get married, ever. There are loads of new dresses on eBay sold cheaply. I suppose they didn't fit or the bride changed her mind or whatever. This is my current favourite, down from £2700 to £450 - it's been on for ages so I suspect they'd be happy with an offer,

Burlea · 28/12/2018 17:24

Sometimes you can get a new or one use dress from charity shops which have a wedding department.

wakemewhenitsallover · 28/12/2018 17:31

What kind of style are you looking for? This Monsoon dress is lovely IMO.

I bought a sample from a small independent wedding dress shop. Depending where you live there are some charity shops specialising in bridal wear. I would have looked at my local one if I hadn't liked any of the samples. Good luck!

Ironmanrocks · 01/01/2019 21:54

Ive been looking on the Debenhams site - some are around £70 in the sales - some a bit more. Def worth a quick look though.xx

MotorcycleMayhem · 01/01/2019 21:57

I got mine at Wed2B. Bought off the rack for £600, so you walk out with it under your arm. Paid about £100 for alterations at a local seamstress. Took about 2 weeks.

Icklepickle101 · 07/01/2019 13:20

There’s a dress event at kenpyon in the 20th if that’s local to you?

Icklepickle101 · 07/01/2019 13:20

Kempton

Justonedayatatime11 · 07/01/2019 16:09

Stillwhite is really good, I've just put my dress up for sale on there Sad

Normandy144 · 07/01/2019 18:03

I got married last year but all the dress shopa near me have January sales on so just go look and you should get a bargain!

MrDarcyWillBeMine · 09/01/2019 14:15

OP- look for bridal outlets in your area!
I went to one and ended up with a sample piece dress for £750 which was amazing!

I originally wrote off the idea of bridal outlets as (I’m ashamed to admit) I thought they’d be a bit ‘love Island’ OTT.
I wanted very classic and simple but actually I did find one!
