Cheap wedding invitations?

As title, I just need some cheap wedding invites (probably about 100 in total) i can’t seem to find anything below £500 all in...is this normal?

People keep suggesting I make them myself, but tbh, I have neither the talent, inclination nor time!

How much did everyone spend on their wedding invites? Is £500 normal?

Seems pricey! We got ours from Cirencester Letter Press. Basic but pretty. You can get 100 for under £250.

I got 150 beautiful invitations from the bargain bin in Clinton's Cards for about £6 total 😂

I used Love-Lee, look for her on Facebook she's absolutely brilliant. I got 70 day and 30 evening ones plus envelopes and personalised stickers for £300. She's brilliant

Look on eBay. I got very cheap (and nice) evening invitations on there.

Try vistaprint they have 25% off at the moment, probably be under £100 and lots of designs

Anything here? The bespoke stuff will be way out of budget but they do printed stationery and a DIY option. They did a workmate’s wedding and were lovely quality. I can’t see prices on the website but might be worth asking?

We used Vistaprint

I bought a downloadable template from
Etsy. It was about £9. I changed the colours to my wedding colours, bought some good quality card and a guillotine and made them myself.

I also used the template to create my table plan, menu cards and order of service.

I used eBay, think I spent about £25 but only needed about 20 as it was a very small wedding!!

It actually cost us £50 as despite proofreading about 5 times and getting my then fiancé to proofread it I managed to send the wrong information so got them reprinted. Didn't ask for any discount or anything on the second lot as it was my mistake Blush

Fantasisa · 12/11/2018 20:25

We will probably be in the minority but we didn’t do invitations - we emailed details!

Monday55 · 12/11/2018 20:26

I'm using online invitations by sending a personal url to everyone and they can RSVP online. we are doing the wedding breakfast meal, so all will be saved online automatically and I'll just print out an excel sheet.

we are living in the digital age, so don't think anyone will care.

I used Vistaprint too... cheap as chips and great quality

anniehm · 12/11/2018 21:42

Just design them on your computer and get them printed in a copy shop unless you have a decent printer - decent card is sold in packets of 50 sheets from staples, then print 2 to a page - the envelopes for this are c6.

frecklefox · 12/11/2018 22:50

We're getting 100 naice looking pocketfold invitations complete with pre-printed inserts from eBay for under £200 Smile

Thesunrising · 12/11/2018 22:54

Canva has some great, free templates that you can personalise. Your only costs would be to print and post - or totally free if you emailed them.

DiamondMine · 13/11/2018 09:54

Thanks guys, I think I’m going to go with Vistaprint. In all honesty, I couldn’t really care less about the invites, they’re just pieces of paper IMO. Nice if they look pretty obviously but I’m not willing to spend a fortune on bits of paper!

Had no idea invites were so costly!! Think we are just making one up on laptop and printing ourselves onto slightly nicer than normal paper.

Don't forget stamp cost if you are posting! They are pricey too!

We did our save the dates with vistaprint and they were lovely and cheap. Just a simple photo of us with a date across the front. People must have liked them as I've seen a couple still up in people's houses 18 months on
