How to store confetti

sunsouttanon · 28/06/2018 08:48

I have dried lots of rose petals for my confetti, so I'm looking for ways for my guests to hold them before they throw them on us. The venue is via a train so needs to be a lightweight option , no heavy wooden boxes etc. Any thoughts ?

Ooh a confetti thread. I have seen wooden boxes used and then left in those for guests to grab a handful..

How did you dry your petals?

Small paper cones?

sunsouttanon · 28/06/2018 10:59

I can't have anything heavy to transport them in or have left over to take home as I will be dropping to the charity shop on way to reception ! Thinking that paper cones are more environmentally friendly but still will be binned:(

Literally just laid all the petals on a tray with some kitchen roll, then put on top of the washing machine in the airing cupboard. Also got my MIL involved plus my friends parents.

Bit odd but how about those flat bottomed ice cream cones...?

TBH, I'd put them in a large paper bag, and charge someone in the bridal party with standing outside the ceremony to get everyone to take a handful on the way out

Small organza bags if you want something reusable. Not sure why you’re going to a charity shop during your wedding though.

@SoupDragon charity shop will Be On the way to the reception venue so easy for me to drop off on the way

I dried peony petals for confetti and they were gorgeous. Just had them in a big box for people to take a handful from and it worked really well.

I wouldn't be dexterous enough to fill little bags!
