Lawn games

Anyone been to a wedding with lawn games out for people to use (giant jenga and the like) What was popular? What did people tend to go to?

Our wedding is next July so hopefully will be bright and sunny into the evening and whilst venue provides some but wondering if there's some I should be looking out for that really got people together or was a laugh.

I think you may be over thinking this. If the venue have some - leave it at that. Weddings are expensive enough without buying lawn games which 3 people may play with for 5 mins. Spend the money on wine!

Our weddings coming up and we’re doing a few (ostensibly for the kids but I know as an adult I’ve played after a fizz or two at friends’ weddings!) We’re getting a big bubble blower thing and a hoop toss, they’re relatively cheap at The Entertainer etc. May get something else if it catches my eye!

@DPotter money's not an issue here, and wine is provided lol - I just think if someone else says loads of adults had a drunk blast and a giggle with a bucking rodeo then I will consider it

We hired some for our wedding and the thing that was the best fun were a few giant space hoppers, my kids loved them (age 4 & 6) and the photos of our friends trying to race on them are hilarious. We also had giant connect 4 and a huge version of twister which were good.

Our venue had croquet and a few small golf holes too.

We went to a wedding where they did this and it was really good fun.

They had a bouncy castle for the kids then things like giant Jenga, croquet, a giant snakes and ladders, adult space hoppers etc...

My friend hired the bouncy castle then bought the other things so she'd have them for future parties/ BBQ' etc.......

She also organised a treasure hunt for the children which they enjoyed.

Giant jenga and croquet was a hit at a recent wedding!

Boules went down well at mine.

Someone brought a light-up frisbee to ours, which was great fun!

Op - i got married on Saturday and we had giant jenga and connect 4 but the most popular game which my mum organised was rounders, yes rounders with the bride barefoot running around having a ball! It was purely brilliant it is one of the things I look back on with the biggest smile ! No one remembers wine- people remember the memories x

Oh I should add it was adults only, made it even better IMO x

They had England v Scotland rounders at my brother's wedding and it was epic! (The pics of the bride running barefoot are beautiful too.) Something like that is easy and cheap and so much fun.

mrssunshinexxx is not my SIL, by the way, this was years ago

Just remembered my sister had tug of war (men vs women and bride’s family/friends vs groom’s). So much fun, lots of yelling and falling over, amazing and hilarious photos. You need proper thick, hemp rope though otherwise everyone will strip their hands/walk around with friction burns.
