Wedding on the cheap

Please give me your best tips at weddings on the cheap. The "package" is paid for, that gets us the guests, the meal, the chair covers etc a DJ and all the sort of stuff you'd expect from a package wedding.

I need help finding cheap invites, cheap flowers, the cake is sorted and accounted for, anywhere I could look for cheap bridesmaid dresses? A cheap dress for me?

I'm a skinflint and OH's parents have paid the package hence why trying to keep the rest of the costs cheap.

Saw some wedding invites and other bits in Aldi yesterday.

I got my dress secondhand on Facebook
Bridesmaid wore one of my dresses I had only worn once, I found other great dresses on eBay
Made own invites
Didn't bother with many extras
Dried petals from garden for confetti
Made orders of service
Borrowed hair things from friends

I saw a wedding where bridesmaids just held a single large rose looked lovely & would be cheap

Bridesmaid brought her own shoes

Check out Facebook lots of good groups for buying stuff for weddings
