BUFFET HELP PLEASE...

Hello,

Meeting caterer this week we are having a buffet (summer wedding ) please can you tell me your favourite thing you would want/ could see on a buffet
We aren't going super posh or just sausage roll type thing either

Enough food for everyone. I've always found the first table goes up and piles their plates full. Then by table 4 there's barely anything left.

Spinach and feta pastries
Cooked meats
Smoked salmon
Cheese and grapes
Quiche

Don't know if it's an option but I'm all for a roast hog, barms, salad, chips, sauces. Something tasty for the non meat eaters

Things like:

Garlic roasted potatoes
Decent chunky coleslaw
Cooked meats
Crusty bread with real butter
Honey and mustard glazed sausages

Real plates and cutlery and plenty to go around!

And a fabulous cheese board with biscuits, fruit and chutney.

Yes, I think making sure there is enough is top priority but not because I'm a fat pig

Chicken skewers
Mozzarella and basil salad
Bean salad
Cheese board

Good shout on the honey mustard sausages Lemon!

Vol au vents filled with salmon and dill
Cherry tomato, mozzarella balls and basil on cocktail sticks
Strawberries and clotted cream
Chocolate brownie and cream

I went to a fancy do a while back ( not a wedding reception ) and they delivered a share of the buffet to each table, with extra veggie stuff for the vegetarians, gluten free, etc). It prevented the whole last table gets the left over lettuce! Is that an option?

Could you have a hog roast? Then salads and bread on the side with a fish/ veggie option.

Otherwise as its a summer wedding... Mini burgers, mini hotdogs, spinach feta pastry, salads, potatoes, Good luck x

More vegetarian options than you might think. The meat eaters will eat it too so make sure there is enough.

CORONATION CHICKEN!!!!!

I like a hot buffett. Or hog roast. Cold buffett tend to be a bit carb heavy. Lots of nice adult complex salads and more protien would make a nice change.

Oh and.....sauces/oils

They make a huge difference to food so a good selection would be great.

Spicy mayo
Chilli oil
Mayonnaise
Smokey bbq
Mustard/mustard mayo
Sour cream etc etc
