Bridal shower theme? Please help

Hey Ladies

I need help.
My best friend is getting married cant be more thrilled! However my duty as Bridesmaid is to host the bridal shower as the other bridesmaid asked to do the bachelorette which is awesome for me because I would not have a clue on what to do. Lol
Now comes the Bridalshower. Do any of you have a theme idea?
I thought about Alice in wonderlanda Mad Hatter theme hightea however her ocd will not work in with that and she is not as you say the lady type more the girl with loads of Tatoo's and likes rock music.
We are having the salor theme for the bachelorette so that wont work either.

Any ideas?

What's a bridal shower? This is a UK based site, you may get more joy on a US one.

Is a bridal shower a US event? In the UK we usually just have the hen (bachelorette) party.

Here in SA we have a morning event where we invite all the older ladies that wont attend the Hen party/Bachelorette party and have cake and tea and then the bride receives presents from a registry

From watching trashy US telly a bridal shower seems to be like a baby shower except instead of baby presents it's wedding presents.

Sorry, from the U.K. and we don’t do it, no alternative. Only people who might are coping USA but I’ve never seen it happen.

But basically, you are looking for a party theme that would suit a tattooed rock chick.

Maybe a glam rock theme, a big American band? Guns and Roses?

Or a colour scheme?

Could do Peter Pan, with your friend as a pirate?

Brides get two pre wedding parties? Wow, never heard of that ( uk based).
Why a themed party can I ask?

We did similar for DD but it was not themed just an afternoon tea for the mums, aunties and friends who could not go to the hen party for various reasons as that was abroad

It was not a "bridal shower" though as no gifts were expected. A couple of people bought funny little presents but nothing like from a registry

Why do you need to have a theme?
