Monsoon dresses

Does anyone know if Monsoon wedding dress sizes come up big or small?
Going to try some on tomorrow and need to psychologically prepare myself (7 months post baby). I got their size 14 jeans... so I'm hoping to fit size 14 dress, and get it taken in if/when I lose one/two/three in the next four months!

My monsoon wedding dress was true to size. It wasn't one of their full length ones but don't think that makes any difference.

I’ve always found their dresses, including wedding ones, are true to size.

If you’re nervous, always an idea to try on a bigger size first then if it fits you’re all good and if it’s too big you can try the next one down.

How exciting! Have a good shopping trip Smile

I tried on a straight up and down style from there which came up a size bigger. Dress was a 10 and I was very much a generous 12 and it fitted perfectly.

This is the one I like. Good idea to try on bigger size! I really wanted a size 12 wedding dress but I'm not sure it's going to happen in time (1st sept), so I'm at peace with size 14 but size 16 would make me sad - just because I was so much slimmer post baby.

Good to hear they're normal or even generous sizes. Have lost 10lb and fitting size 14 clothes from M and S and Sainsbury's comfortably, but I know that "vanity sizing" is a thing...

That is bloody gorgeous OP. Classic, romantic, bridal, flowy, beautiful.

Let us know how you get on!

Love the dress! Hope you have a lovely day trying it on.

Lovely dress. I got married in a Monsoon dress - although mine was a bridesmaid's one as I liked it better than any of the bridal dresses at the time! I found it true to size.

Thanks everyone . I'm going after work so hopefully won't be too knackered!

Bought it! The Lucia in size 14, fits almost perfectly but scope for alteration if I magically lose two stone! Needs a bit of a tweak at the shoulder and in the length but am very happy. Thanks everyone for your help x
P.s. trying to work out how to crop photos so can share but don't want to put myself!

So pleased! You’ll look a million dollars OP. Have you got a date? Very happy and excited for you.

Yep, 1st September. Legal ceremony at registry office 28th July, got a navy and red dress (also monsoon) for that. Then barn/marquee festival vibes for 1st September.

So relieved to have it sorted! Not much left to do now in terms of planning ; finish invites, table plan, flowers, decor. Big stuff all done!

Mine was a similar style to this from monsoon and it was true to size.
