M&S flowers??

I'm trying to cut costs and I'm not overly fussed about the wedding flowers so not wanting to spend a fortune, for tables and bridesmaids I'm doing my own big bunches of gypsophila (bought in bulk for about £125).
M&S do wedding flowers but the bouquets are triple the price of just a nice normal bunch of flowers from them.
Would I live to regret this for my bouquet, I thinking a £30 bunch trimmed with ribbon round would be fine?
I'd have to get button holes done by florist or M&S do them too

Why M&S? I find their bunches very poor in terms of selection.
I'm doing supermarket flowers for mine a couple of mixed bunches.. Sorted, trimmed and wired with ribbon the day before
It's not a big "proper" wedding so there's no way I'm paying someone else to do it. I might have a YouTube tutorial first!

I've always found their flowers to be really good, where are you thinking of getting yours?
My only concern is that they won't be in full bloom when just bought so might have to get them a few days before

I made my mum a bouquet using Tesco flowers, some wire and ribbon and a couple of YouTube tutorials. It looked pretty good!

Yes I'm based in southLondon so Covent Garden isn't too far

That was my plan too. They didn't arrive. M&S eventually refunded me - after a lot of quibbling (and no goodwill gesture for the massive inconvenience). That was a long time ago, but I have heard recently that their flower deliveries are still a bit hit and miss - Mother's Day flowers not received.

I think M&S flowers are a bit hit and miss. As you are in London you have loads of better options available. Definitely have a shop around the markets and local flower shops.

I went into a gorgeous flower shop near me and they said their brides bouquets were £80+.
But they had ‘normal’ bunches I loved for £30-40.

They agreed to do the button holes and a lovely ‘normal’ bouquet for me. I just made sure to remember to pack a few ribbons so I could chose which one to use.

Obviously flowers might not be to your taste, and the photo is strange as you can’t see wild flowers but I wanted something wild, natural and colourful.

I would talk to a reliable florist near you before venturing into M&S. explain your budget and see what they can do! They should be able to get you something more interesting, tailored and fresh than M&S.

I looked at M&S but tbh ended up going to a local florist because they were cheaper, and more helpful.

I know it's not everyone's taste but I got fake flowers for my bridal bouquet. I was nervous about it but I loved the added sparkle and that they'll last forever.

I made my own buttonholes and table flowers with Morrison's flowers bought the previous day to open up. I always like Morrison's flowers - good range and quality.

M&S can be unreliable in quality. The best flowers in supermarkets here are in Lidl. I was at a wedding recently where there were just a few mean florist bouquets and it just looked crap. No-one cares where you got the flowers ...they don't have to know. But I do think they can make a wedding so much more romantic
