Choosing wedding rings- mixing platinum/titanium

WE are looking at rings for our summer wedding. DP has saw a really nice titanium/rose gold one that he likes. I was planning to get a plain platinum band- my engagement ring is platinum. Having looked at the titanium ones though, they site has some lovely titanium/platinum bands.
I know the theory is the platinum would wear away, but is this relatively theoretical, and would happen over the course of years, or would it happen fairly quickly??

Has anyone bought titanium rings?

I'm a jeweller by trade and it's really not recommended. People buy 2 different rings and wear them together and sometimes it takes a few months. Other times takes a year etc. I would just stick with the same metal. Platinum is the best. People mostly use it for wedding rings/engagement rings. As it's meant for "life"

Hope this helps. Congratulations!

I imagine it would be virtually impossible to have a platinum/titanium ring resized too.

Thank you, I will just stick with platinum for mine Grin

If you ever needed your ring cut off you'd be stuffed if you bought titanium.
