Evening all,
The wedding venue we're interested in has a couple of different packages to choose from; one of which includes '3 pours of house wine' per guest.
Does anyone know what this means realistically? A medium glass is usually 175ml, a bottle is 750ml. So I guess 3 pours is around two thirds of a bottle per guest (175 x 3 = 525)? I'll ask the venue when we meet with them but I wondered what others' experiences were?
Most weddings I've been to there's some wine on the table or staff come round asking 'red or white?' and pour individual glasses.
Possibly there's X number of bottles ready for Y total number of guests based on the above maths; and when they're gone they're gone? I know for sure there'll be some tables at ours that will fly through the wine and others' that won't
I went to a wedding last weekend, 8 to a table and 3 bottles of wine put on the table. They were gone by the time the starters were finished...we all had one full glass (self-pouring so probably 250ml easily) and a top up, it didn't feel like nearly enough but maybe we were just on a big drinking table!
