Originally was going to have peonies and babies breath for my flowers/in the bridesmaids flower crowns. But I have since changed my mind about my dress, and the new one has flowers embroidered on to it. Can I have some suggestions of what to go with? Ideally would like to still include babies breath Smile

It also has little bees embroidered.

The pinks flowers remind me of anemones. Love anemones.

Can we see your dress it looks fab

BrimFire · 25/02/2018 19:17

Wow, dress looks like it will be amazing. Please please do a link/ photo!

Flowers are tricky though. They could easily clash. Think you'll need to look online and see what works, "bigger picture".

How about ranunculus?

Agh not having much luck posting, hopefully this link works!

Actually thinking about it I would just pick whichever one colour works best for theme and stick to that with a bit of babies breath. You don't want busy flowers with that dress.

This is the dress! It's not very bridal I know, but I love it(and so cheap!)

I was hoping for like a bunch of wild looking flowers? Agree should stick with babybreath, what do you think of violets or sweetpeas?

Any suggestions for small pink or purple flowers?

These are also the flowers that will be used in the bridesmaid crowns.

It’s lovely PP

I think sweetpeas would be lovely but you don’t really see them much in bouquets - I think possibly they are not every easy to arrange from a florestry point of view.

What about cornflowers - the purple flowers remind me of cornflowers

HeckyPeck · 27/02/2018 14:05

Beautiful dress! It's really lovely 👰🏼

I don't know much about flowers, but random idea: for mine I ended up copying a photo of my dress into Paint then pasting bouquets I'd searched for on google/Pinterest to see if they'd go. Might help!

LoveInTokyo · 27/02/2018 14:13

With that dress a bouquet of white flowers could look lovely - like an inversion of the traditional dress and bouquet combination.

Reallycantbebothered · 27/02/2018 16:24

Here's some more ideas which would compliment your lovely dress....when is wedding? as that would dictate what wild flowers would be available...otherwise some silk flowers and fresh flowers would work well

I'm loving looking at all these flowers!....my dm was a very keen floral art member and she and her friends did my wedding flowers 30 yrs ago....I think I prefer these more informal flowers though

DorothyGherkins · 27/02/2018 16:31

White peonies?

MaidenMotherCrone · 28/02/2018 08:51

I'd stay away from small flowers, they'd be competing with the flowers on the dress. I'd go for a larger, bolder flower, one colour with foliage and quite a small bouquet too but obviously in proportion to your build.
