Is £120 good for me to have hair and makeup done & bridesmaid hair?

No trial just turn up on the sat they usually charge £250

Ideas for shoulder length bride style

If it's any guide, I'm in a major city in the South West & for hair alone for myself, my mum and my two best friends, I've had quotes from £180 to £450, including a trial for the bride only.

Mobile hairdressers have tended to give the more reasonable quotes thus far.

I used a hair and make up lady in the south west. I ended up paying over 200 for just my own hair and make up including trial. So i would say your cost is pretty good!

Ours is £200 for trial and for them to come to venue on day to do hair and make up

inchoccyheaven · 12/01/2018 08:38

That's per bride. We don't have bridesmaids.

My hair and make up is costing £200 with a trial and £50 pet hair for bridesmaid so I think that’s a good amount

Doobigetta · 19/01/2018 16:10

Mine is costing £40 for a trial, £60 on the day and I think £35 each for bridesmaids. That's just hair, though, I'm doing my own makeup.

I'm worried I'm not having a trial is that a big mistake?

I would have a trial personally or I'd be panicking on the day if they do it and I don't like it there wouldn't be time to re do it ? I'm paying £70 for hair me and 2 bridesmaids and the same for make up so £140 not including trial I think it's same again
For trial x

PeasAndHarmony · 21/01/2018 08:38

I'd definitely do a trial. My friend booked one with a really well reviewed local MUA but despite asking for a natural look ended up looking like an someone off TOWIE. And her updo fell down after 15 minutes.

She'd have been devastated if she'd had to walk down the aisle like that!

winterwonderlandy · 21/01/2018 08:39

I would definitely get a trial, money well spent. If they do something you don't like it would be awful and there might not be time to fix it.

inchoccyheaven · 22/01/2018 00:54

Definitely have a trial. I came away from my trial not really liking what they did so my dw said i should go back for another which although cost me again was worth it as ended up with what i wanted.

We got married saturday and so many people loved my hair that it was worth the extra money.
