Hen Party in Barcelona

Has anybody been on a trip to Barcelona with girlfriends or on a Hen Party there? Was there anything you did that made your trip really special?

I am currently organising my friend's hen party along with one of the other bridesmaids and looking for ideas. There will be 8 of us in total, including the bride, and we will need to keep any activities on the cheap side.

What time of year are you going?
Barcelona is a very very busy city so I would recommend going against the grain and enjoying it without too much planned activity. I've been lots of times and the first two times I ran out of time to see the city as I was travelling round and waiting in queues.
I'd recommend Shoko for lunch. It's right on the beach and very funky. Food is fabulous and the set meal is amazing value. Great fir parties and often overlooked by casual tourists as it's quite far down the beach,Yes its a nightclub at night ( so the inside and loos are all black shiny tiles) but you wouldn't know it.
If you want a good hotel for sharing the H10 Casa Mimosa has big rooms and the bathrooms are very private. Lots of hotels seem to like glass doors and loos in the middle of the room! Slap bang next to Casa Mila so you don't need to book tickets in advance and you get a free view of the roof from garden rooms.

We did a sangria bike bar for my friends hen in Barcelona (cliche activity) but honestly we all had so much fun singing and dancing and seeing the sights at the same time!

Are you sure that all the people the bride wants to be there can afford a trip abroad?

Aire de Barcelona. Its not cheap but its bloody amazing.

I went to Barcelona on a hen fix we were warned of pick pocketers and by second night one of our group had her handbag swiped (with out apartment key in it). Other than that it was great but be very careful if where and what you do with your handbags.
