Basically if you had the option of a wedding for just you two and two witnesses who would you pick to be there? X

I’m having that but the witnesses will be a photographer and a piper.

Our mums. No question. It means more to them than anyone else.

Someone long term. Not your current best friends. Aunt and uncle if need be.

We had no guests, just us and 2 witnesses provided by the hotel. It was lovely!
It would have upset people if we had chosen some family, so we found it best to have none.

We did this last week. We chose an old friend of DPs who has spent a lot of time with the DCs and his long term girlfriend. Couldn't choose from parents as someone would be left out. Ditto my friends.

30 mins before the ceremony we were told the girlfriend had a vomiting bug. I phoned a friend, almost in tears, and she dropped everything and battled the traffic to be there on time, bless her beautiful heart.

It would have to be my best friend if she could make or - she lives on the other side of the world. No idea on the second. Probably the photographer if he or she would be willing to do it.
