Shop bought wedding dress

So, we're getting married June next year Grinand I have set my heart on a dress from Monsoon. Nowhere stocks in it winter months, so I need to order and pay for it just to be able to try it on. So my question - is it too soon to buy my dress accounting for the fact that it's off the rack?

TIA

No. I wouldn't say it's too soon. My friend gets married this week and has had her dress off the rack from wed 2 b for 18 months. They don't alter or anything so it would only be the same. If you like it keep it and if need be just get it altered nearer to time if need be (that's what she has done) And if you love it and know it's the one I would :)

I bought mine from Monsoon and it sold out, so I'm glad I did!

BlondeB83 · 25/10/2017 14:42

I would say buy it now when it’s available.

orangeowls · 25/10/2017 14:44

I’d definitely get it now while it is still in stock. The monsoon dresses are lovely.

Fluffyears · 25/10/2017 20:56

Get it now and store it carefully. I nearly bought from Wed2b but went for a sample dress from a bridal shop. I don’t get my alterations until 5 weeks before my wedding in April. This worries me as I’m a natural worrier. What if they forget, lose my dress etc etc!

Thanks all! I'm ordering tomorrow and mother-in-law is going to store it for me as I have no room at home.

I'm not sure what size to order, im on a diet and hope to lose a stone, but thinking best to order up?

I would order up and get altered to be made smaller x

Creamswirls · 25/10/2017 23:36

I ordered down, and I was right to, because the wedding diet succeeds where all others fail! Grin

Overtiredbackagain · 26/10/2017 16:09

I've ordered! I'm in between sizes so sent the alterations lady a picture to see if easy to alter and she said yes! So went larger size but the diet has started so I have til March to see what I can shift and keep it off!

Thanks all, so excited! We've had a tough 12 months so having something to look forward to means the world xx

Smile lovely! Star

When I bought my wedding dress (13 yrs ago) the shop owner said to me "all brides lose weight" I think she was right. I wasn't even dieting and lost pounds. So I think order down. Especially as Monsoon sizes often come up big.

glovesonstrings · 28/10/2017 15:19

That is a perfect dress. Beautiful

Apileofballyhoo · 28/10/2017 15:22
