Some ideas required please for a gift from bridesmaid to bride which covers one of the usual, old,new, blue things...

Depends a bit if she's already got her jewellery etc. sorted for the wedding. Something small and simple like a little blue enamelled flower pin that she could wear in her hair & enjoy as a memento afterwards perhaps? My bridesmaid knew my dress was ivory with lilac embroidery so she had some silver and amethyst jewellery made to match which I still have/love.

Just don't do what MiL did and offer to lend me a 'something blue' that turned out to have been worn at every wedding in their family where the groom died young - not sure that was how she was seeing it but I did wonder if maybe DH had upset her in some way

A silver sixpence for her shoe - easy & cheap to order online.

Blue garter (does anyone actually still wear these?).

You could have her wedding date with Mr & Mrs xyz printed onto some blue ribbon and see if her dress maker can stitch it into the hem inside at the bottom of her dresss.

Something new tends to be the dress so wouldn’t worry about that one.
