Brunch

Getting married in one year.
Ceremony is afternoon and food will be around 3:30/4

Me and my wedding party (as well as some guests) are all getting ready at my house and the hair and make up will start early and use up the full morning. I'm thinking of maybe putting on a brunch to pick at as we're all getting ready as we'll be up really early.

Has anyone done this? Do you think a catering company would deliver one to the house? I don't know what types of food to ask for/ offer.

As much as I'd love to cook for 10 plus people I really don't want to on my wedding day and I'll be so preoccupied that I know I'll forget to eat.

Good idea, seems the perfect task to delegate to one of the wedding party!

My best friend recently got married and we were all with her from about 7am until the wedding which was at 2. We had croissants for breakfast and then she bought platters of sandwiches and fruit from Sainsbury's. It was nothing fancy but enough to get us through the morning and soak up the fizz.

My mum made us a cooked breakfast on my wedding morning. Think it was about 11ish. You could order some food from m&s and pick up the day before?

I didn't really want to get any of my family or wedding party to run around making food because they'll be getting ready and I want them to relax and enjoy it.

Yep, will definitely be needing something to soak up the bubbly Grin. I didn't think of the supermarkets , especially M&S. don't want anything fancy. Sandwiches or pastries would suffice. thank you. There'll be children here too so I want to make sure they're properly fed so they don't get cranky.

We had platters of Waitrose canapés and sandwiches for DSis' wedding.

waitrose and M&S have "entertaining" parts of their websites which have the things you can order in. You can also hire champagne flutes if there are going to be lots of you there Smile.
