Batshit Weddings Thread

What a fab suggestion elsewhere today! A batshit, fruitloop weddings thread.

We have promising signs of a bridezilla in the WTFFGS neighbourhood Grin I'd have to change lots of details.

My colleague spoke of not much else for 18months.
Spent a significant amount on a handmade tiara then fed everyone sandwiches (afternoon tea) in a cold barn.
Not sure if that's batshit or just poor form?

Batshit brother here! I'm walking myself down the aisle. My brother goes batshit as apparently it's his 'right' to walk me down the aisle! Then demanded there be extra wedding cars for the family i.e. Him! Also, expected me to drive a 3/4 hour round trip to pick him up the day before my wedding, apparently I IABU expecting him to get a train considering it is a whole 2/3 minutes walk to the church. I am also apparently BU as there will ONLY be wine and water on the table during the wedding reception for people to drink (not beer). I am also being UR as I am getting married in a church 0.2 miles from where I live and have lived for 8 years. Apparently I should have got married in the city where I grew up despite no other family members living there any more (except him) and have done this purposely to incovienence him!

That is indeed batshit, User.

All the weddings I've been involved in have been disappointingly sane Sad

I did have to endure a colleague's wedding photos though. Dozens of pictures of her and her new husband in a very beautiful park, except the poses made it look like they were getting off with each other in the bushes. Quite how the photographer managed, his subjects in wedding attire and with the backdrop of historical gardens (which I know well - it's a lovely place), to produce what looked like a soft porn dogging shoot is beyond me. Colleague was thrilled with them - we were all like Envy and Confused

My Brother got married to a girl from another country in her home country, and she refused to let anyone outside his immediate family attend (Mum, Dad, Me & OH), It was "joked" that even my OH shouldn't be allowed to attend because we weren't married or engaged, despite being together a lot longer than them!
My parents offered to pay for additional friends or family but she still refused. They had a party back in the UK months later, but not the same as seeing the real thing!

I should add that all her friends and family were there, not just her immediate family.
